My research is focused on the synthesis of Okaramine B.  Okaramine B is a natural product extracted from Penicillium simplicissimum and Aspergillus aculeatus.  It is lethal to silkworm and army beat worm larvae and its activity is blieved to be based on the uncommon azetidine ring.  After the synthesis of Okaramine B we hope to learn more about its biosynthesis and acitivty.
