Studies towards the total synthesis of microsclerodermin G
The
marine natural product microsclerodermin G (1) was isolated in 2000 from a Microscleroderma
sponge by
Faulkner et al.1 Microsclerodermin G inhibits
growth of the
HCT-116 human colon carcinoma cell line and exhibits antiproliferative
activity
against C. albicans.
We are targeting the various amino acids based on extension of previous
group methods as well as literature precedent.
